Exchange with Mobilization team of program “ Reading culture development – Let’s read”

Representatives of the Cultural Ambassadors 2016 bring about ideas of the spillover of reading to the community before the participants of the Knowledge Journey Program and the Reading Cultural ambassador and the donors.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh - Director of Vietnam Intellectual Cooperation Center shared the development orientation of the books reading program; Reading cutural ambassadors 2016 outlined ideas about the spread of reading journey to the community; Participants in the Knowledge Journey Program and Reading Cultural ambassador discussed together to develop reading culture.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang - Director of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation suggested that the organizing committee can study and apply a successful model that succeeded in Japan. In which, organize 15 minutes of reading every day, at the classroom. Each day, one student will share his/her favorite book to the whole class. This will spread the love of books, encourage other students to go to school on time, improve reading culture. In the information technology era, books are not just paper-based but also electronic books, online books, audio books. These are the means with many advantages: compact, easy to store, easy to rotate, can reach the blind. Children may be prefer them as they are more lively, attractive, and for the community.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang also shared: "The program of developing reading culture - Let's read" is one of the meaningful programs in line with the purpose of the Foundation with the mission "The foundation is a social, charitable, non-profit fund, aim to improve the physical strength and intellect of Vietnamese children, for a mighty Vietnam. " Therefore, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, TH School System, TH Group are willing to commit to donate: Secondary and high school scholarships awarded at TH School for typical reading cultural ambassadors, priority is given to writings written in English and capital reading cultural ambassadors. In addition, the Foundation also pledges to award 01 year use of TH School Milk for free and Kindle reading grant for 5 Reading Cultural Ambassadors. Kindle is one kind of reading machines for “bookworms” and a great dedicated machine that will change the reading experience.
