Giving nearly 500 glasses of milk to children in Ngoc Son Ward, Hai Phong City

Ngoc Son Ward is one of the areas having many difficult circumstances in Hai Phong City, especially people in the fishing village on the banks of Lach Tray River. All people here are manual laborers who have settled down and faced many difficulties in daily life and in accessing social services. In 2018, VSF organized 2 training courses about sexual abuse prevention skills for children in fishing village in order to raise their awareness and skills in risky situations. At the same time, VSF has sponsored living expenses for 3  extremely difficult students in 3 years, with the total amount up to VND 108 millions since 2018.

In Hai Phong City, VSF is also cooperating with the WU of Hai Phong city and the WU of Kenh Duong ward to implement the project "Scarlet Sails". In addition to supporting tuition fees and living expenses for some children with extremely difficult circumstances, the project will strengthen the knowledge and skills of sexual abuse prevention for children and caregivers in Kenh Duong Ward through training sessions and talkshows. The project will also create a short film to raise awareness of this content, and coordinate with the Women's Union of Hai Phong city to spread the film widely in schools in the areas of Hai Phong city and through other media channels
