Groundbreaking ceremony of Ban Chang - Ha Giang school site

After the groundbreaking ceremony, volunteers and the locals participated in digging foundations, transporting materials and building foundations of two classrooms.

Before joining hands with the locals and the teachers of the school site to participate in the construction, the volunteers of Bac  Commercial Joint Stock Bank, jointly raised funds by selling uniforms and directly donating for the construction of the school site.

From 250 million raised, under the coordination and mobilization of VSF and Nong Thon Ngay Nay Newspaper, Vi Xuyen District People's Committee has contributed a counterpart fund of 250 million VND in order to have enough funding to build a firm school site.

Not only the volunteers, the local people are also very happy and excited at the commencement day because they can directly contribute to the construction of the school site.

On this occasion, VSF and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank presented warm clothes to all 36 preschool students at the school site.

Ban Chang is one of the 3 most difficult school sites of Quang Ngan preschool. Meanwhile, Quang Ngan is also a difficult commune in Region 3 with 90% population of Dao ethnic group, the per capita income is only 18 million/person/year. Ban Chang and many other villages in the commune still have no electricity and telephone connection. Currently, preschool students of Ban Chang had to study in the cramped classroom of the elementary school which is several hundred meters far from there.

As planned, after about three months of construction, two new classrooms with a total area of ​​80 square meters and the toilets, playground and fences of Ban Chang school site will be completed to welcome 36 children to study.
