The Country Gender Equality Profile Viet Nam 2021 was launched on October 26. This is the first profile which comprehensively reflects issues related to progress and barriers to gender equality in Vietnam. The profile is the result of the effective cooperation between the Department of Gender Equality, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, UNWOMEN, and other domestic and international organizations in the past year.

The profile is an important reference which helps orient and build programs and policies related to gender equality, and is expected to play a guiding role in supervising the progress of implementing Sustainable Development Goals in Vietnam through a gender responsive perspective.
