In order to raise awareness about children's rights and promote efforts for children's development, especially in the education and health sector, November 20 was designated as the World Children's Day (also known as World Children's Rights Day) by the United Nations.
On this day in 1989, the Declaration of the Rights of the Child was adopted by the UN General Assembly. Under the declaration, children are entitled to live in a safe environment without discrimination; have access to water, food, healthcare, and education; and have a say in decisions that affect their happiness and welfare.
For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has been implementing many programs and projects to raise the public's awareness about nutrition and children's rights, as well as helping children develop physically and mentally. Some of VSF's notable projects include the School Nutrition program, project "Scarlet Sails", etc.
On the anniversary of World Children's Day, VSF wishes all children happiness and love. We hope Vietnamese children in particular and children all over the world in general will have the chance to grow up in an increasingly better world!
