This morning, April 23, 2026, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), in collaboration with the Hanoi Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, organized a visit and presented gifts to pediatric patients receiving financial support for their treatment at the hospital

The visit was joined by Nguyen Thi Oanh, a national track and field athlete and Charity Ambassador of VSF at the S - Race students running event, helping spread compassion and encouragement while inspiring young patients undergoing treatment.

Throughout her 3 years accompanying VSF, Nguyen Thi Oanh has inspired tens of thousands of students through her perseverance and determination to push beyond limits as a professional athlete. But beyond that, every step run by Oanh and young participants at S-Race carries another meaningful purpose: contributing to opportunities for mobility rehabilitation for children facing difficult circumstances.

And during today’s visit, those running strides became more tangible - reflected in the very first steps taken by the young patients.

M.A., a 7-year-old girl, has grown used to not being able to walk straight. Her weak legs mean she often has to rely on walls, door frames, or the support of her parents and friends to move around. At school, even walking from her seat to the schoolyard has never been easy. Over time, this uneven movement has also affected her spine, leading to further challenges in her daily life.

Today marks a special milestone - the beginning of a “new journey” for M.A. She was carefully fitted with custom - made orthotic braces, designed to support and align her legs. With this added support, in time, M.A. will be able to walk out of her room on her own, move to the dining table independently, and get around without assistance. She’ll also be able to step up to the board in class, actively join activities with her friends, and no longer have to sit out during recess.

Though the journey ahead may take time, every step she takes today - supported by dedicated doctors, her “special companion,” the strength of millions of strides from students, teachers, and parents at S - Race, and the unwavering determination of Nguyen Thi Oanh - will grow steadier, carrying her further toward the future

This meaningful support has reached M.A. and seven other children who have received orthotic devices, and will continue to benefit many more pediatric patients in the future through VSF’s fund for supporting the treatment of mobility disabilities.
