When love reaches a little heart in time

The family belongs to a near-poor household in Nghe An, relying mainly on temporary jobs for income, which is only sufficient to cover daily living expenses. Therefore, when learning about their child’s condition, the parents were very concerned as they could not afford the treatment costs.

“Our family took the baby to the provincial hospital for examination, and when we learned about the cost of the heart surgery, we were terrified,” the mother shared in a letter sent to VSF.

Immediately after receiving information about T.N.’s case from Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) connected with an anonymous donor to provide opportune support for the child. The total sponsorship for the surgery is VND 19,417,756.

Thanks to the timely support and the dedicated care and treatment from the medical team, the baby successfully underwent surgery and recovered well. At the end of April, the child was discharged from the hospital and returned home in time to celebrate Reunification Day with their family.

The family also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to VSF and the generous donor for accompanying and supporting their child throughout the treatment process. In a letter sent to VSF, the mother emotionally shared:

“Our family is deeply grateful to VSF. Thanks to the doctors and VSF, baby T.N. has been given a second chance at life.”
