Organizing the talkshow "The Youth and social organizations - Act for a green environment and Introduction of non-profit environmental film series"

The participants include the representatives of state agencies, non-governmental organizations, experts in the environmental field; directors, actors participating in the community non-profit environmental film project and the youth in Hanoi.

This is the final talkshow in the series of the project "Youth for Environment" in the first year, aimed at increasing the youth’ participation in environmental issues, and simultaneously promoting positive changes in the environment policies and laws for sustainable development. Previously, 2 talkshows were held, including: the talkshow "The Youth and the enterprises: Act to reduce plastic pollution" and the talkshow "The youth and the press: Act for Green Environment" in 2020.

VSF also officially introduced the product of the environmental non-profit community film project, which was jointly implemented with Touch, TH Group and BAC A BANK. The project goal is to raise public awareness through 5 short films with the themes: Forest protection , Water saving, Electricity saving, Plastic waste reduction, and Sustainable fashion to encourage and promote small actions forming environmental protection habits from each individual and family.

The film received the volunteer acting participation of many KOLs such as actor Ha Huong actress, MC Phan Anh, MC Danh Tung, MC Thuy Linh... and the professional contribution of many experienced directors and filmmakers in Vietnam and abroad.

Mrs Vu Thu Hang - Communication Director of Bac A Bank, the project sponsor‘s “Youth For Environment” said: “One of five core values of Bac A Bank is FOR PEOPLE. Therefore, in recent years, we have accompanied many sustainable development projects, especially projects on environmental protection for the young generation. This is the reason why we accompany VSF in implementing the project “Youth for Environment”. The fact that the youth’s operation of Green Eye fanpage with various forms of communication in the past 11 months has shown the right direction of the project, contributing to change the community's awareness of environment protection.

Mrs. Tran Thi Nhu Trang - The Director of VSF shared at the event “We hope that today's talkshow will contribute to promote the cooperation between the youth and social organizations in the environment field. At the same time, non-profit community films will be widely used in events, forums or related activities as a communication material about the environment to spread a beautiful lifestyle, eco-friendly actions for a sustainable future.” 

In this talkshow, Mrs. Nguyen Thu Hue, The Director of Centre for Marine Life Conservation and Community Development (MCD) made the speech “"The youth and the creativity" which emphasized the use of art types in communication to change the behavior of the youth and the community about the environment. Participants also learned about the cooperation models among social organizations and the youth through MCD's projects such as: Ocean Plastic Waste, Climate Change Adaptation, Garbage’s Journey, etc.

During the talkshow, all the participants including the representatives of VSF, Bac A Bank, MCD, actress Ha Huong and the Green Eyes group answered questions from young participants about the difference between traditional environment communication and communication through the types of art, the mobilization of resources by social organizations in projects associated with the youth, the next plans of the the projects introduced in the talkshow etc.
