This morning, on January 10, 2024, the "Let's Orange with VSF 2023 - Ending Violence Against Women and Girls" campaign organized by the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, TH Group, and BAC A BANK in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) officially concluded.
In addition to announcing the impressive results of the campaign, the ceremony honored 54 individuals and outstanding groups who achieved awards in the "Let's Orange with TH and BAC A BANK” competitions. The closing ceremony further consolidated the commitment of the three parties and UN Women to accompany each other in the journey to eliminate all forms of violence against women and children, working together for true happiness.
Impressed by the campaign's results, Ms. Le Thi Lan Phuong - Program Manager of Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Program, UN Women, stated, "We highly appreciate the efforts of the three parties in conveying the message of ending violence against women and children to the community. This is an exemplary example that we will report to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and acknowledge in the global “Let’s Orange” Campaign report. We hope that the three parties will continue to collaborate with UN Women's programs nationwide, as well as partner with the government in efforts to end violence against women and children."
As the coordinating unit for the joint implementation of the Let’s Orange Campaign by TH Group and BAC A BANK, the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation also plays a crucial role in overseeing the operation of the Fund, helping to improve the livelihood of women affected by violence and facing difficulties. This year, the total contribution to the livelihood support fund for women affected by violence and in difficult circumstances has reached 600 million VND. VSF has surveyed to disburse the first 300 million VND to support the “Sister’s Coffee” livelihood model of 15 Thai ethnic women in Mường Ảng district, Điện Biên province. The Fund continues to assess the community's needs to disburse the remaining 300 million VND in the first half of 2024.
"We are delighted that the contributions to the livelihood support fund have quadrupled from 150 million in 2022 to 600 million in 2023. This means that many more women will receive support, indirectly benefiting their children, families, and those around them. VSF commits to effectively implementing and transparently reporting the activities following the campaign through practical, sustainable projects, efficiently leveraging funds to help more women, empower them, and step by step build a brighter and more hopeful future for the happiness of Vietnamese women and children," said Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Trang, Chairwoman of the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation.
