This is the sharingof Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Van, Principal of Anh Duong Kindergarten (Hua Nhan commune, Bac Yen district, Son La province), during the inauguration ceremony of the new school restroom built by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) in cooperation with TH Group, BAC A BANK, the Department of Education and Training of Son La province, and local authorities.
Ho Sen campus is the main site of Anh Duong Kindergarten, where more than 70 children are currently enrolled. However, since its establishment in 2011, this school has never had a standard restroom because it was not included in the original construction plan. For years, the only available facility was a makeshift outdoor restroom with a corrugated iron roof, lacking separate rooms for boys and girls and without a flushing system, leading to unsanitary conditions, especially during the rainy season. A proper, clean restroom has long been the wish of all the teachers and students at the school.
That wish finally came true when the Ho Sen campus was selected as one of 9 school sites to receive a new restroom facility under the 1,000 school restrooms project. Each self-contained restroom, worth 60 million VND, is built according to standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training. It includes two separate indoor restroom rooms for boys and girls and a shared outdoor handwashing area. These new facilities will significantly improve the students’ hygiene and living conditions, encouraging them to go to school regularly and thrive in a healthy learning environment.
