Successful connecting the sposor and pediatric Lo Van Khay

"If the heart keeps its beat, you are still alive! If you are alive, yourself is still useful in this life!"

That is the encouragement of two sponsors: Mr. Cao Hoai Duc and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung during the visit to sponsor the cost of heart surgery, valued VND 50,000,000 to pediatric Lo Van Khay at the Department of Cardiology at the Vietnam National Children's Hospital.

After many visits at the provincial hospital in Vinh and the Vietnam National Children's Hospital, Lo Van Khay (born in 2007) was diagnosed with congenital heart disease, ventricular septal defect, narrow valve and right ventricular outflow, intended for a surgery.

Lo Van Khay is Thai - an ethnic minority in middle area of Vietnam and his family belonged to poor commune of Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province. Mr. Lo Van Chai, his father works as a temporary worker in Hanoi. When he does not have a job, he does farm work at home with his wife to earn a living for the family. Due to the difficult financial situation, although the hospital has contacted many times, Khay's family still postponed treatment for him.

Knowing the circumstances of Lo Van Khay, the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has called on Mr. Cao Hoai Duc and Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung to sponsor this case. With the sponsorship of the two of them, through VSF, Lo Van Khay would be set on an operation in the afternoon of March 6, 2019. "From the heart to the heart", thanks to two benefactors, he will have a new life, a chance to live healthy and reach his dreams.

VSF would like to thank the volunteers of the two sponsors, trusting through the Foundation to carry out this meaningful activity. We also hope that Khay will recover soon after surgery to return home to continue his studies.
