The last session of the training course on "Operational skills when reporting on the topics of plastic waste and plastic pollution."

The journalists of the network "Female journalists with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste” had an exciting second day of training with "real battle" knowledge including:

• Skills to escape, and handle situations when reporting
• Skills to use special support devices in reporting (cameras, camcorders, voice recorders)
• Skills to collect and analyze information
• Skills to use document searching tools and verify information

Reporters focused on the training course so that they could apply the knowledge learned to reality.

Journalist Do Doan Hoang - Dan Viet Online Newspaper, Journalist Tran Le Thuy - Director of Centre for Media and Development Initiatives (MDI), and Ms. Le Giang Lam - Coordinator of the Earth Journalism Network in Vietnam shared their practical experiences regarding the above skills.

In addition, the journalists were given an introduction to the professional equipment used in investigative trips by the guest speakers. Within the framework of the training session, questions on factors related to an interview, such as understanding the interviewees, choosing an appropriate interview space, and inspiring the characters, were also addressed.
