"When joining the discussion groups, I feel very happy and proud when young female journalists are very enthusiastic and give a very clear message. Without the passion , it is impossible to go day by day, week by week to the garbage dumps, or go to Phu Quoc, to every corner, take each photo and record each video to do reportage. Young journalists and reporters are the ones spreading those messages, those values”.

Hopefully, through seminars like this, young journalists will keep in touch with stakeholders here, creating a community to get necessary contact, advise on environment-related issues or help to connect with suitable experts, units”

Ms. Vu Thu Hang is also an advisor in the Advisory Board of “Female journalists with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste” project. Within 1 year, she and 10 experts in the fields of journalism, communication and environment have positively supported members of the female journalists network and other activities of projects.

In addition to summarizing the results of the project, the best press products of journalists on the topic of plastic waste were also awarded in this event.

Project “Female Journalist with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste” is initiated by VSF and is the only representative of Vietnam to receive funding from the Earth Journalism Network in 2022. In addition, the project also received the companionship of Tetra Pak Vietnam Joint Stock Company and the implementation coordination of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE), Vietnam Business for Environment Alliance (VB4E), Plastics and Health Action Partnership (PHA).
