The only representative of Vietnam and 12 organizations in Asia - the Pacific region have received funding from Asia – Pacific Media Grants 2020

Starting from October 2019, after 4 months of organizational capacity assessment, project proposals, and interviews, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) has become the only representative of Vietnam in Asia and the Pacific region received funding from Asia - Pacific Media Grants 2020.

Accordingly, VSF overcame 82 candidates to be in the top 13 selected initiatives with the project “Strengthening the youth participation in solving environmental issues”.

Asia - Pacific Media Grants 2020 is an initiative fund of the Earth Journalism Network, a global network established in 2004, to promote media/press activities on environmental problems. Asia - Pacific Media Grants 2020 has received generous financial support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

In 2020, Asia - Pacific Media Grants seeks creative ideas from networks of journalists, media organizations, civil society organizations, academic organizations throughout Asia and the Pacific region that can:

- Enhance media coverage and public awareness of environmental issues, such as climate change, pollution, biodiversity degradation, wildlife trafficking, use and management of natural resources.

- Strengthen knowledge, skills, and collaboration at the national and regional levels for environmental reporting.

In July 2020, the representatives of VSF and the other organizations will participate in the seminar in Indonesia to discuss and share the implementation project.
