On April 20, 2023, the representative of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) directly ran the training course "Communication planning about gender equality and the urgent issues of ethnic minority women and children within the framework of Project 8", which was organized by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) in Can Tho.

There were 60 participants, including the Chairwomen and Vice Chairwomen of the Provincial and City WU who are in charge of propaganda, Leaders of the Advisory Board for Propaganda, as well as leaders and officers of the Southern Working Committee

Mrs. Tran Hong Diep, Deputy Director of VSF, guided the participants through the development process of the communication plan about gender equality and the urgent issues of ethnic minority women and children under Project 8. After that, they had the opportunity to practice developing a specific communication plan.

"The course has been very supportive to our provinces in planning, especially in defining the communication goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-framed.

"The training method is really appropriate, fascinating, and simple enough to follow."

"How to develop messages without reinforcing or creating more gender stereotypes or gender norm really impresses me."

Those are some participants’ feedback after the training courses ended.

In May and June, Mrs. Tran Hong Diep will run two similar training courses for the Northern and Central Provincials and Cities WU executive board and officers (organized in Hue), as well as the executive board and officers from the Central WU and government agencies related to Project 8.

Project 8 named "Implementing the solution to gender equality and the urgent issues of ethnic minority women and children", belongs to the national target program on socio-economic development in mountainous and ethnic minority areas within the period 2021–2030, with phase 1 from 2021 to 2025.
