"For many years, I have wished for a new school for my child to safely go to class. I’m truly touched and happy. This occasion brings great joy to not only the teachers and students but also to us parents. On behalf of the student’s parents, I sincerely thank VSF and our sponsors for this meaningful project."

This is the sharing from Mrs. Lo Thi Nhung, a parent of a 4-year-old student, at the groundbreaking ceremony of Khu Lang teaching location on July 13th in Quan Son, Thanh Hoa.

Mrs. Nhung and many other parents went to the school early in the morning to help the teachers prepare for the ceremony. Everyone was looking forward to the day when the school would be renovated after nearly three decades.

The construction of the new Khu Lang school includes three new classrooms, an enclosed restroom and covered corridors, and 3 renovated classrooms. Noteworthy, the building materials for this project are made from 50% recycled plastic waste materials. The total budget for the project is 1.36 billion VND, sponsored by VSF, TH Group, and Green Future Plastic.

The new Khu Lang School will provide better conditions for students to learn, play, and develop in a safer and healthier environment. The project is expected to be completed within three months and will be ready for the academic year 2023-2024.
