In "Month of Action for Children in 2019", For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) as well as government organizations, NGOs... throughout the country had meaningful activities. 

With the vision and mission of non-profit activities for the development of physical and mental health of Vietnamese children, VSF will make more efforts in our activities, bringing benefits and joys to children all over Vietnam. 

 

1. Opening Playground for child patients at National Pediatric Hospital

In the morning of June 15, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), TH Group and representatives of Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics inaugurated a children's playroom at the Heart Center - National Pediatric Hospital. The playroom is designed to be safe for children and suitable for patients who were being treated in the hospital, with carefully selected toys such as damping rubber mats, safe plastic toys ... The total value of the sponsorship was nearly 92 million VND from TH Group.

 

2. Successful fundraising of 43 million for P.T.D., a child with disadvantaged circumstance in Quang Ninh

P.T.D. is currently a student in grade 2, being left by parents who have mental illness, living with his grandfather (82 years old). The lives of him and his grandfather were always in a state of deprivation, with a major dependence on 350,000 elderly allowance of his granddad. Beyond expectation, within 10 days, VSF fundraising campaign exceeded the initial target. By the end of June, the total amount was 43,134,000 VND from generous individuals, equivalent to 43 consecutive months of sponsorship for D., starting from June 2019.

 

3. Training on skills to prevent sexual abuse for children in fishing village (Hai Phong)

On June 7, 2019, VSF cooperated with Vietnam Women's Union in Hai Phong and Ngoc Son ward to organize training courses on skills to prevent sexual abuse for 14 children, in Chai village, Ngoc Son ward, Kien An District, Hai Phong City. The training content helps children understand concepts and forms of sexual abuse, identify culprits, identify potential sexual abuse risks, learn safety principles and practice skills in particular situations. This is the second session in the chain of life skills course for children of Chai village that VSF has been implementing here. 

 

4. Experience "Happy Farm" with disabled children from Thuy An Center

The program "Happy Farm" in Ba Vi, Hanoi has brought 55 students with disabilities to learn nature and develop social skills, in additional, to support them in rehabilitation. This is also an opportunity for 25 BAC A BANK volunteers and 10 young volunteers, who are the children who of the BAC A BANK staff, to play and share the joys, sympathy with the lives of disabled children. On this trip, BAC A BANK Youth Union and VSF also raised VND 38 million from BAC A BANK staff, donated to Thuy An Center, contributing to the care and rehabilitation for children with autism. 

 

5. Sponsoring thousand glasses of milk for the development of children's stature and intelligence

On the occasion of International Children's Day 1/6, VSF donated 1,152 cups of milk to 150 cases of disadvantaged children affected by HIV / AIDS in Hai Phong through Vietnam Women's Union of Hai Phong. Besides, 3,216 cups of milk were also donated for the "Child Protection" Fund of Nghia Do Ward People's Committee, Hanoi in the activity of Children's International Day and Nutrition Day of the ward. In addition, VSF also sponsored 20 milk crates for the Smile Surgery Program in Hanoi from June 14-14, organized by Operation Smile.

 

6. Sponsoring two more disadvantaged children in Ninh Binh

Through the connection of Today Rural Newspaper, VSF continued to implement child sponsor activities with two adolescent cases N.T.P. and D.D.C. in Ninh Binh. N.T.P. (13 years old) has a brain tumor, his father suffered from acute kidney failure, had frequent dialysis, his mother was often ill. D.D.C. (12 years old), orphaned and has throat cancer, unable to do heavy work. The sponsorship of 50.4 million will be awarded 700,000 VND / month for each child within 3 years, supporting the two families.
