Visiting Sustainable Development models in Nghe An province

Destinations which actualize the "circular economy" model at TH Group include: reducing plastic-waste, packaging-waste and solid-waste reduction in general are introduced during the trip.

In 2 days, the delegation visited and had practical experience at Nghe An Sugar Company (NASU). As one of the leading companies in Vietnam manufacturing and supplying sugarcane products for domestic and international markets, NASU has made a lot of efforts and progress in production towards sustainable development such as: Using probiotics in the wastewater treatment process; planting trees to feed birds and insects; making the most use of by-products from sugarcane production, etc. NASU's activities towards environmental protection and biodiversity conservation is likely to make this place become the first OECM in Vietnam (Other effective area-based conservation measures).

The delegation also visited the International Fresh Vegetables & Fruits Production & Supply Joint Stock Company (FVF) and the TH farm and dairy factory, as well as learned about sustainable production models from experts. Vu Khanh Linh - a student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities fully watched and could not hide her excitement when telling about things she experienced: “I am really impressed with water treatment standards. At TH dairy factory, they always ensure the quality of wastewater discharged into the environment. The wastewater treatment tank is finally able to raise fish. ”
