Having broken ground in the launching ceremony of program "Wishes for Children”, the first 3 constructions of the “1,000 restrooms” project under program "Wishes for Children" are officially completed after 3 months.
These are the restrooms of A Doi preschool (A Doi Commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province), Sa Tuong preschool of Ba Tang Primary and Secondary School (Ba Tang Commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province) and Pang De preschool (Ban Mu commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province).
In some difficult areas, school restrooms are sometimes not paid enough attention and investment. Students hesitate to go to the restroom due to its unsanitary condition or lack of privacy. Therefore, putting these 3 constructions into use has facilitated 405 students in Quang Tri and Yen Bai province to use clean and safe restrooms, which help them to improve their health and study.

The project “1,000 restrooms” is a part of the program "Wishes for Children", and is accompanied by TH Group, Bac A Bank and For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF).
"Wishes for Children'' is a community program initiated and implemented by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society and the “Vietnam Digitalized Knowledge” project. The program aims to mobilize, connect resources, share and spread humanity in society to support students, promote educational development in particularly difficult areas, including promoting both students' health and physical fitness.
Vietnam Volunteer Information Resource Center (also known as National Volunteer Center - VVIRC) was assigned by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as a permanent unit which coordinates and receives resources to implement the program "Wishes for Children".
According to the agreed plan between VVIRC and VSF, it is expected that about 27 restrooms will be completed and put into use in 2021 to meet the demands of thousands of preschool and primary school students in disadvantaged areas across the country.
In the following years, it is expected that about 100 restrooms will be constructed each year to achieve the goal of completing 1,000 bathrooms by 2031.
