"I am so happy that the school has new restrooms because now I can use them comfortably without waiting in line. The new restrooms are also clean and smell nice."
Ly A Duong, a 7th-grade student at Na Khoang Primary & Secondary School in Bac Kan province, excitedly shared about the newly inaugurated restroom facilities.
Previously, with only one shared restroom for 433 students across both primary and secondary school, every recess would see a long line of students waiting to use the restroom. This shortened the time they had to play during breaks. The overloaded shared facilities also caused inconvenience and unpleasant odors, affecting daily activities.
The new restroom facilities, completed and ready for use at the start of 2025, will provide a cleaner and safer environment for students in the upcoming semester. This improvement not only helps protect the students’ health but also motivates them to focus on their studies and grow in a healthy and supportive learning space.
The new restrooms at Na Khoang Primary and Secondary School are part of the project to build 1,000 school restrooms under the program “Wishes for Children.” This program is the result of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation, in collaboration with the Viet Nam National Volunteer Center (under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union), TH Group, BAC A BANK, the Bac Kan Provincial Youth Union, and local authorities.
