For Vietnamese Stature Foundation has launched a new fundraising project on Global Giving

The For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) call upon the community for funding through the Global Giving platform to enhance the effectiveness and value of the "Building 1,000 School Restrooms" project. The total amount to fundraise is approximately 6.2 billion VND.
The activities within the fundraising project are geared towards enhancing the proficiency of students, teachers, and caregivers in personal hygiene practices, the correct maintenance and utilization of restroom facilities, protection of clean water sources, and environmental hygiene. Concurrently, the efforts to facilitate increased accessibility to complimentary and high-quality personal hygiene products for the community. Specifically:
- Installation of 1,000 handwashing instruction boards following the standards set by the Ministry of Health.
- Provide free handwashing water for participating schools.
- Organizing at least 60 training sessions - communication activities and contests on proper restroom maintenance and usage; reasonable water usage and protection of water sources; personal hygiene linked to adolescent reproductive health care and overall school health; and environmental hygiene preservation.
- Organize at least 15 school hygiene festival events at participating schools.
These activities have significant meaning in ensuring that restrooms are used and preserved correctly in the long run. They also contribute to helping these young students study and engage in activities in a safe, healthy environment, improving school health, and enhancing the physical and stature of the students.

The 1,000 school restroom project ("Wishes for children") is a large and long-term project coordinated by the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) in collaboration with the National Volunteer Center (VVC) and the Ministry of Education and Training, with the companionship of the TH Group and BAC A BANK.
Over 10 years, from 2021 to 2030, the project aims to construct new and renovate 1,000 restrooms for schools in economically and socially disadvantaged areas nationwide. This effort aims to improve school hygiene conditions and enhance school health while raising awareness and changing behaviors related to clean water, personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, proper maintenance, and use of restrooms through communication activities, training, and festivals for students, teachers, and caregivers.
As of October 2023, nearly 100 restrooms have been constructed in provinces such as Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, and Quang Tri, with 35 restrooms already in use.
