On September 27, 2025, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) officially kicked off the Happy School project for the 2025 - 2026 school year at Nghia Loi Primary School (Nghia Tho commune, Nghe An province). The first activity of the project was a training session on positive discipline for teachers.

Attending the launching ceremony were: Mr. Hoang Quang Trung, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nghia Tho Commune; Mr. Ngo Huy Han, Director of Communication and External Relations (Central Region) of TH Group; Ms. Tran Hong Diep, Director of VSF; Ms. Le Tuyet Mai, Vice President of the Vietnam Vietnam Association for Protection of Child Rights; Ms. Tran Quynh Nhan, Secretary of the Party Cell and Principal of Nghia Loi Primary School; together with local officials, teachers, parents, and students.

During the ceremony, VSF and TH Group awarded 20 scholarships worth 30 million VND to students in difficult areas. They also partnered with TH School to donate 65 helmets and 500 drawing notebooks to the school.

This school year, the project will continue to upgrade school facilities at Nghia Loi Primary School, including building new restrooms, an outdoor library, and providing a rice cooker cabinet for the school kitchen. In addition, the project will carry out a series of communication and training activities for teachers, parents, and students on topics such as nutrition, mental health, injury prevention, gender equality, and communication skills through drawing and wall newspapers. These efforts aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning, so that “each day at school is a happy day.”

Nghia Loi Primary School is located in Nghia Tho commune, a disadvantaged area of Nghe An. The school currently has more than 400 students, with nearly 70% being ethnic minorities. The Happy School project will bring a safe, equal, and friendly learning environment to both teachers and students.

Speaking at the launch, Ms. Tran Quynh Nhan, Principal of Nghia Loi Primary School, happily shared:

“The project gives our school not only support in facilities but also new knowledge and skills for both teachers and students. This is a great motivation for Nghia Loi Primary School to keep innovating and creating a safe, friendly learning environment. We believe that with the support of the project, the determination of our staff, and the contribution of sponsors and the community, this happiness will continue to spread and become a solid foundation for the growth of Nghia Tho’s students.”

Also on September 27, the first activity of the project, the “Positive discipline” training session for teachers, took place. Guided by two experts from the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, 21 teachers from Nghia Loi Primary School learned about children’s rights, the difference between positive and traditional discipline, and practiced case studies, group discussions, and applications for classrooms and families. Together, they built a shared code of conduct for the school.

This marks the fourth year of the Happy School Project and the third year it returns to Nghe An, with the support of TH Group and BAC A BANK. Continuing the success of the 2024–2025 school year, when the project benefited more than 13,000 people (including 12,881 students), the project offers a solution to improve school infrastructure and strengthen teachers’ and students’ capacity in disadvantaged areas. It also reflects the efforts of VSF and partners in contributing to the National Target Program and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
