"It takes a village to raise a child. All of us have the obligation and responsibility to protect children, so they can grow up in a safe and full of love environment."

This meaningful message is what Ms. Tran Hong Diep - Director of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), sought to spread in the "For Vietnamese Stature" program on the topic "Growing up safely with children," which aired on VTV1.

In the September 2025 episode, the program featured additional guests: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Senior child protection expert from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Dr. Vu Thi Kim Hoa - Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Protection of Child Rights (VACR).

The guests shared their perspectives on the issue of protecting children from violence and sexual abuse; discussed signs that a child may be abused or subjected to violence and the necessary skills needed; and exchanged practical solutions for building a safe and healthy living environment for Vietnamese children, with special attention paid to the roles of parents and schools.

This is particularly meaningful in the modern social context, where children are increasingly facing alarming risks such as school violence, sexual abuse and the negative impacts of the online environment.

Notably, VSF's "Scarlet sails" project was mentioned as a prime example of building a safe living environment for students. Launched in 2020, the project operates based on an ecological, child-centered model. Through numerous activities targeting students, parents and the surrounding community, the project has achieved many positive results.
