In the lesson "Water for Everyone," TH School 4th grade students were introduced to the "1,000 School Restrooms" project by the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF). This project aims to build and renovate clean toilets for children in mountainous areas and organize training and communication classes on clean water, personal hygiene, and environmental sanitation for students, teachers, staff, and parents.
After learning about the project, the 4th-grade students personally organized a fundraiser and contributed 2 million VND to the project, helping children in difficult circumstances have more access to clean water and restrooms.
Additionally, the students had the opportunity to listen to Ms. Hoang Thu Nga, a VSF representative, who shared her practical experiences and stories about children in remote areas living in places lacking water sources and clean restrooms. Through this meeting, the children gained practical lessons on related topics and better understood the significance of fundraising activities.
"I have a better understanding of the importance of clean water and sanitation, from which I know I need to save and protect water sources as well as keep restrooms clean and beautiful."
\"After today's sharing session, I understand more about the meaning of the project and feel very happy that our fundraising activity has contributed to helping students in difficult circumstances have cleaner restrooms."
These are the positive reflections of the students after hearing from Ms. Nga, VSF’s representative.
This meaningful activity has significantly contributed to spreading humanistic values, fostering the spirit of sharing, and inspiring positive living within the community among the students.
VSF would like to sincerely thank TH School and the students for their fundraising efforts, motivating the children in highland areas to attend school steadily!
