The growth journey of volunteers on the “Scarlet sails” voyage!

For them, it was a series of unforgettable firsts: first time hosting as an MC, first time singing in front of an audience, first time becoming a volunteer in a community activity, and first time overcoming rocky roads to reach a mountain school. Each “first time” marked a milestone of growing confidence, perseverance, and a spirit of sharing that they nurtured over the past five months.

Throughout the five-month voyage, they steered the project’s “boat” together, taking on logistics, designing games, facilitating group activities, and more. They served as a bridge between students and experts, helping create a close and welcoming atmosphere where children felt confident to share and express their thoughts.

Along with joy and memories, they also gained valuable knowledge about gender, comprehensive sexuality education, and self-protection skills, enabling them to listen to themselves, respect others, and spread positive values within the community.

This young volunteer team not only contributed to the project, but also demonstrated children’s right to participate: the right to have a voice, to take action, to contribute, and to grow through meaningful experiences.

Heartfelt thanks to the 8 special sailors of the Scarlet sails project who helped guide the boat to set sail and reach harbor safely. May this journey leave them with lasting memories, useful knowledge, and the inspiration to continue spreading good in the path ahead.
