The organizing committee of “Pioneering Women Journalists for the Environment” Award.

The Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment is a scientific research unit under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with the function of researching socio-economic policies related to natural resources and the environment; recommending strategies, institutions, policies, and master plans on natural resource management and environmental protection; and performing training tasks and other non-business activities as prescribed by law.

Plastic and Health Action Partnership (PHA) established with the mission of connecting partners, networks, initiatives related to plastic waste in Vietnam; building and operating information sharing digital platforms, forming a reliable information system about the connection between plastic and health; creating a unified voice to contribute to the research process, developing best practice models, discussing and advocating for policies related to environmental health.

Up to now, PHA has gathered 20 organization members, project partners, government agencies and supporters who are all committed to bringing an end to plastic waste.

Project “Female journalist with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste” is initiated by VSF and is the only representative of Vietnam to receive funding from the Earth Journalism Network in 2022. The Award “Pioneering Women Journalist for the Environment” is the 10th activity within the project with a goal of recognizing the achievements and contributions from female journalists, reporters and editors in environmental protection actions. This is also an event to promote the pioneering role of female journalists, reporters, and editors in disseminating and encouraging the community to fulfill their responsibilities in environmental protection.
