Training program "Operational skills for reporters when reporting on plastic waste and plastic pollution" is coming soon

What are the skills required for investigating and reporting on plastic pollution and plastic waste? How to bring the problem of plastic waste and plastic pollution into daily life? What standards for environmental reports?

All of the above questions will be addressed at the training program on the topic "Operational  skills for reporters when reporting on topics of plastic waste and plastic pollution", which will take place later this week.

  • Time: June 18 - 19, 2022 (Saturday and Sunday) in Hanoi

  • Audience: ONLY for 30 members of the Network "Female journalists with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste”

At the training session, female reporters will:

  • Be provided with basic knowledge about the environment in general and plastic waste, plastic pollution in particular

  • Learn how to explore environmental topics and practice essential skills such as investigation, fieldwork, interviewing, news writing, etc.

Besides, on this occasion, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) will announce a "Financial and technical aid package" to search and publish environmental press reports.

We will update more information about the implementation of activities on VSF's communication channels!

The Network "Female journalists with collective impact for reducing plastic pollution and plastic waste” project, initiated by VSF, aims to strengthen female journalists' capacity, participation, and leadership in investigating and reporting on plastic pollution and plastic waste; while simultaneously building the partnership mechanism between private sectors, environmental researchers/activists, and mass media to increase the quantity of high – quality content and media coverage on plastic pollution and plastic waste. The project is funded by the Earth Journalism Network (EJN) and Tetra Pak Vietnam Joint Stock Company.
