VNews reported on the "No voice - No equal future" project implemented by the For Vietnamese Stature Foundation

Thải Giàng Phố commune, located in Bắc Hà district, Lào Cai province, is a disadvantaged area with 356 households living in poverty, accounting for over 50% of the population. In the past, the commune faced issues of gender inequality in labor division and decision-making. Additionally, some residents still held gender biases, engaged in early marriage and consanguineous marriage, and allowed children to drop out of school and work at a young age. Meanwhile, the unemployed were at high risk of becoming victims of human trafficking.

With the aim of empowering women and raising awareness of gender equality among children and women, the "No voice - No equal future" project has, over the past year, been implementing various training activities for local residents. The project has also provided interest-free loans to 15 ethnic minority women and sponsored three children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This project was launched in May 2023 by  For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) and TH Group in collaboration with the Lào Cai Provincial Women's Union and the Bắc Hà District Women's Union, with a total budget of over 500 million VND. The project’s funding comes from the 2022 campaign "Let's Orange with TH - End violence against women and girls," along with contributions from more than 1,000 individual donors.
