The clean water system, bringing water from the village up to De A border-area-school site in Long Phieng commune, Son La province, has officially been put into operation, making daily activities at school more convenient for 50 primary school students.

This meaningful addition was donated by the BAC A BANK Youth Union on the occasion of the school site’s inauguration, in collaboration with For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Tien Phong Newspaper, and the Son La Provincial Youth Union, contributing to improved learning and living conditions for both teachers and students.

Previously, teachers at the school site had to transport water by road from the village to the school for daily use. The steep and difficult route posed many risks, with each trip requiring considerable time and effort, while the amount of water carried was only enough for temporary needs.

The water supply system has now been completed and put into use, meeting the daily needs of all students and teachers, from handwashing and sanitation to recreational activities after class, thereby helping ensure personal hygiene and improve learning conditions for students.

De A School Site, under Chieng Tuong Primary School in Long Phieng commune, Son La province, was built with two permanent classrooms, sanitation facilities, a playground, an access road, and a clean water supply system, serving more than 50 Mong ethnic minority primary school students in a border area facing many challenges. The project was implemented by VSF and the BAC A BANK Youth Union in collaboration with Tien Phong Newspaper and the Son La Provincial Youth Union, with a total budget of VND 559 million and additional support from local authorities and residents.
