As the newest addition to the bridges built with the support of For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), the Hang Gang - For Vietnamese Stature Foundation Bridge has a distinctly different design compared to its predecessors: a stone bridge built in an arch shape. In an area where stream water can rise rapidly and carry away soil and rocks during the rainy season, the arched design helps the bridge withstand the force better, reducing the direct impact of the water flow and limiting erosion over time.

The clearance under the bridge is also calculated to allow for better floodwater flow, making the bridge more durable through each rainy season. And amidst the mountains and forests, the bridge's gracefully curved shape makes Hang Gang feel close and harmonious with the surrounding landscape.

The bridge was inaugurated and put into use on May 17th in Hang Gang village, Lao Chai commune, Lao Cai province. The bridge is 16 meters long, 4 meters wide, has a load capacity of 10 tons, and costs over 1.173 billion VND. Of this, VSF contributed 780 million VND; the remainder was provided by the local government along with contributions of labor and materials from local residents and youth.

With this new bridge, VSF hopes to contribute to a brighter future of sustainable development and connectivity for the people of Hang Gang, where travel is safer, goods transportation is more convenient, and children can travel to school with peace of mind every day.
