After one month of implementation, For Vietnamese Stature bridge in Lao Chai commune, Lao Cai province, jointly developed by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Tien Phong newspaper, and Lao Cai provincial Ho Chi Minh communist youth union, has reached a major milestone with its primary structural works now substantially completed.

The bridge was commenced last December, after one month of implementation, the bridge arch has been cast in concrete and is currently in the curing stage to ensure all technical requirements are met before proceeding with the subsequent construction items.

According to the plan, from next week, the project will move into the phase of constructing the access roads and bridge surface, as well as completing relevant auxiliary items.

The bridge is expected to be finished and put into use before the Lunar New Year, contributing to making travel more convenient and safer for the local people, especially during the rainy and flood season.

Hang Gang Bridge features an arch design with solid stone embankments, measuring 16m in length and 4m in width, with a capacity of 10 tons and a total budget of 1.173 billion VND. Of this, VSF sponsored 780 million VND (including 750 million VND in construction costs); the remainder was provided by the local government's counterpart fund and contributions through on-site materials, as well as labor days from local residents and youth union members.
