Inauguration of Y Nhan school site, Tuyen Quang province

The renovation and upgrade of the Y Nhan school site of Dong Tho 2 primary school, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province are sponsored by For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) in coordination with Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet newspaper. Renovated and upgraded items include three classrooms and a playground with an investment of VND 430 million.

In the past two months, Ms. Binh and other students’ parents of the school site had joined hands with the construction units to help the work finish as soon as possible before the Lunar New Year.

Classrooms and the schoolyard have been renovated to be more beautiful and cleaner. Students no longer have to worry about the muddy schoolyard or damp classrooms when it rains.

The Y Nhan school site is 4 kilometers away from the main school site and 13 kilometers away from the district center. 65 students study at the school site this school year, the majority of whom belong to the Dao, Cao Lan, Mong ethnic minorities, and few belong to the Nung ethnic minority. All students are also given jackets and warm glasses of milk by VSF this morning.

The work is finished to the joy of the local people. At the beginning of the new school year, their children’s wish of studying in a fortified school has been fulfilled.
